Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information ShikraTravel FZE ("we", "us") collects when you use shikratravel.com or contact us, why we need it, and how we look after it. We follow the data protection laws that apply in the United Arab Emirates.

1. What we collect

• Trip details you send us: route, dates, number of travellers, service type and preferences. The quote form on this website does not store anything on our server. When you press "Request Quote on WhatsApp", it opens WhatsApp with your details filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp.
• Contact details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number and email address.
• Travel documents needed for the service you ask for, such as passport copies, photos, Emirates ID, visa copies, bank statements or invitation letters for visa applications.
• Payment records such as invoices and transfer receipts. We do not collect card numbers through this website.

2. Why we use it

• To prepare quotes, book the flights, hotels and packages you ask for, and arrange visa assistance and travel insurance through our partners.
• To send you tickets, vouchers, visas and updates about your booking.
• To keep accounting and tax records required by UAE law.
• To answer your questions and handle changes, cancellations and refunds.

We process your information to provide the service you request, to meet our legal obligations and, where needed, with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by other companies.

3. Who we share it with

Only with the parties needed to deliver your service:

• Airlines, hotels, transport and tour companies, and booking systems.
• Government and visa authorities, embassies, consulates and their official visa centres.
• Licensed insurance companies, when you ask us to arrange travel insurance.
• Banks and payment providers, to process payments and refunds.
• Authorities, when the law requires us to.

Some of these parties are outside the UAE, for example an embassy or a hotel in the country you are visiting. We share only what each one needs, and only as permitted by UAE data protection law.

4. WhatsApp and this website

• Messages you send us on WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
• The fonts on this website are stored on our own server, so loading a page does not send your details to a font provider.
• We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are most useful. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not track you on other websites. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy.
• We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this website.

5. How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as UAE accounting and tax rules require. Copies of passports and other documents are kept only as long as needed to complete your service and handle any follow-up, then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

6. Keeping it safe

Access to your documents is limited to the staff who need them to handle your booking. We store files on protected devices and accounts, and we ask you to send sensitive documents only through the channels we give you.

7. Your rights

Under UAE data protection law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us to:

• show you the personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information when we no longer need it for your booking or for legal records;
• restrict or stop certain processing, or withdraw your consent;
• send your information to you or another provider in a commonly used format.

8. Children

We handle children's details only when a parent or guardian books travel or a visa for them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
